A bit of IMDB news, confirms that Moffat would entertains the idea of a Who movie - IMDB claims this means that Doctor Who is headed for the big screen, however Moffat doesn't really confirm that but says he would "back it". Obviously Doctor Who has been on the big screen before, courtesy of Hammer pictures. Although the films weren't too bad (and the new series even pinched a few of the Dalek designs). The movies' were only loosely based on the TV series, and just shared the name, Tardis and of course the Daleks. Heres what Moffat apparently said:  "I would say yes, as long as it never gets in the way of the show. It would be great to see it at the cinema. It's been there before so it would be good to see it again.
"A movie is 90 minutes, that's not that different from making a single episode, so I'm not against it." |
