New details on the upcoming Battlestar Galatica movie have been revealed, with reports suggesting that Edward James Olmos will be directing the two-hour movie.

It will go into production after the fourth season is completed (shooting on that finished at the end of June) and will be written by Jane Espenson, based on a story by David Wheddle and Bradley Thompson. The writing team of Wheddle & Thompson were going to write the episode, but have recently joined CSI.

According to interviews with certain cast members, the TV movie will feature actors Aaron Douglas, Dean Stockwell, Katie Sackoff, Grace Park, Michael Hogan and Michael Trucco.  It is rumored the movie will focus on the Final Five Cylons, though there is no confirmation on where in the Galactica timeline the movie will fall in.
