MIDDLEMAN 1.2: THE ACCIDENTAL OCCIDENTAL CONCEPTION
Written by Stuart

The Middleman (and Dub the sidekick) come up against the Terracota Warrior who’s an Earth elemental going a bit er, mental about the last incarnation of the heir to the Shing dynasty – whose name is (currently) Duncan.

(That’s the accidental occidental bit right there…)

Frank Herbert Junior High (Dune,  gettit?) seems to be where he’s temporarily hiding out and the Middleman has to waste the Terracotta Warrior – although only temporarily, before he pulls himself together again. (– as Dub points out there are way too may copies of Terminator 2 out there.)

Lacey (Dub’s friend) is also a bit mental (about saving the environment) so she pulls a stunt with the special water that Dub needs to vanquish TW,  meaning that TW only gets damp when attacked,  and escapes with the Heir.  Saving the day means Dub and MM get to visit the underworld (cue sfx manic laughter) to cut TW off in his dash for.. wherever he’s dashing for.

There’s some chanting.. and MM and Dub get their visa to the Underworld where everything looks like an office building with the sort of customer service you get in your nightmares.

However a bit of ducking and diving (and elevator music) has the duo back to Earth with the Heir in tow, and a thousand years of raining fire averted.  Global Warming in spades,  though you just can’t predict the weather these days.

Dub fell out with Lacey at the start of the show – something to do with bailing her out of jail at 3am - but we’re all friends by the end thanks to Lacey’s master plan to give all the homeless a fur coat. (Don’t even ask.)

I guess you had to be there.. or at least in the close neighbourhood.  Lots of pop culture references,  smart dialogue and sci-fi links.  And reformed succubi.

Magic.  Literally.
