Due South meets MIB by way of Eureka.
A struggling artist is recruited by a hi-tech secret agency to fight against evil forces. Based (apparently) on the graphic novels by Javier rillo-Marxuach and Les McClaine.
Matt Keeslar is the otherwise unnamed Middleman, who's actually the front an for his outfit until joined by Natalie Morales (Wendy, otherwise Dub) to collectively kick bad-guy bottom.
The dialogue is snappy, and the opening made me laugh out loud. There are ots of pop and sci-fi culture references, and while the "Dudley Do-right" hero's a bit po-faced, Wendy as his perky sidekick is sharp enough to give ou paper cuts.
The show doesn't take itself (or anything else) seriously, and has some ice takes on plotlines. You may need a fairly specifically deranged sense of values to think this is funny, and social commentary it is definitely not; but if you want a pleasant way to spend your free time, shop here for the rest of the series!
